Welcome to Caffe e Cucina
The New Boy Who's Always Got a Story To Tell
Managing Host Steve Fletcher’s (or Fletch as he prefers) journey in the hospitality industry began in earnest, working under the legendary Toni Clarke, during the very early days of the iconic Hammerheads, along Tamaki Drive.
Leaving shortly afterwards to the UK on the obligatory overseas adventure, Fletch found himself, four years later, relocated to Australia as part of the opening team for film based, restaurant group, Planet Hollywood, on George Street in Sydney.
Twenty-five years later owning, opening or operating restaurants, Fletch finds himself back in New Zealand, albeit a proud Australian, still with the burning desire and passion for an industry he’s been committed to, for over thirty years.
He might be a tad greyer than what he was when he left NZ but his passion for and commitment to the industry has never dulled. It still burns brightly.
